E6B Front Side: Computing Time and Distance

e6b_timeWhen completing a Nav Log, after obtaining distance and groundspeed, you need to compute time en route, or ETE (Estimated Time Enroute).  See how easy it can be to calculate using your E6B Flight Computer.

Beware of the units! Remember if you’ve measured your chart using NAUTICAL MILES, use KNOTS for your speeds. Also, the numbers on the E6B can be modified by a factor of 10 to suit your needs. See this video for more details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpQa-btw4co
